Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is a standard quality assurance system for research laboratories required by law in many countries to carry out safety testing of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plant protection products, food additives and explosives. The application range of GLP is the non-clinical, experimental tests with which the hazard potential of substances for humans, animals and the environment can be determined and evaluated. Certificates demonstrating knowledge and competences in GLP are beneficial for a career entry into the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, food industry or feed industry.
