Leibniz UNIversum: Designing habitats for humans and animals
From the lecture series Leibniz UNIversum. Three places of knowledge - six perspectives.
The event will be held in German!
Andreas Michael Casdorff, Managing Director of Zoo Hannover gGmbH, and Prof. Dr Benjamin Burkhard, Professor of Physical Geography at Leibniz University Hannover, talk about habitats designed by humans: whether they designate land as building land or as a nature reserve, or whether they create a habitat for Barbary lions at the zoo. What helps and what hinders us in designing habitats for humans and animals? How can we bring people and nature more into harmony again and establish good relations between people and the environment?
