Highly Cited Researchers 2022: Nadja Kabisch and Jürgen Caro are on the list

Two researchers from the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Hannover are among the most cited researchers worldwide

Prof. Dr. Nadja Kabisch and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Caro are listed as Highly Cited Researchers in 2022. This list is published annually by Clarivate Analytics based on information from the publication database Web of Science. The frequency with which scientific publications have been cited by other researchers in the past eleven years is used as a criterion.

Nadja Kabisch is no  debutant: She was already represented in the list of 'Highly Cited Researchers' in 2020 and 2021 in the categories 'Cross-Field' and 'Social Sciences' and ,recently, was honoured again for 2022 in the category 'Social Sciences'. The scientist holds the professorship for Digital Landscape Ecology at the Institute of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology since 2022. Her interdisciplinary research on nature-based solutions, urban climate resilience, environmental justice and urban ecosystem services led her to contribute as an author to the current IPCC 6 Assessment Report of the Working Group III Mitigation of Climate Change. Nadja Kabisch is a member of the Human Mobility, Environment and Space (SH7) panel - ERC Consolidator Grant 2021.

Jürgen Caro is technically  professor from the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry  in retirement since 2020, but in fact he continues to support teaching through lectures and seminars in the fields of catalysis and nanotechnology. He was also already listed for last years's 'Highly Cited Researchers'. He has published over 400 scientific papers, including in the leading journals Science and Nature. 43 patent registrations prove the practical relevance of his research in the field of porous materials with the applications catalysis, gas separation by adsorption and membrane permeation. He is an Eni Award winner, one of the most highly endowed industrial science awards in the world.
