20th anniversary of the Faculty of Natural Sciences

Congratulations!
The Faculty of Natural Sciences was founded twenty years ago. In August 2005, the University of Hannover adopted a new organisational structure: since then, our university has been structured into nine faculties  instead of subject areas. One year later, on the occasion of its 175th anniversary in 2006, it was also given a new name: "Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover"

The constitutional assembly of the Faculty Council of the newly founded faculty took place on 6 April 2005. The name Naturwissenschaftliche Fakultät, Faculty of Natural Sciences, was also decided at this meeting.
