Degree Programmes in Chemistry and Biochemistry

Analysis and synthesis are the fundamental methods used in chemistry and biochemistry. Chemists analyse the composition of substances, their properties and how they react with each other, for example. Biochemists analyse the composition and behaviour of substances in living systems, among other things. The Faculty of Natural Sciences at Leibniz University offers a broad spectrum of programmes and research directions in chemistry and biochemistry, some in conjunction with the biochemistry centre of Hannover Medical School.
