Group leaders and women in senior scientific positions join forces
The interdisciplinary research network Matrix Evolution brings together several departments of Hannover Medical School (MHH) and Leibniz University Hannover (LUH). The initiative unites six female project leaders: Prof. Dr. Cornelia Lee-Thedieck and Prof. Dr. Sophia Rudorf, Institute of Cell Biology and Biophysics (LUH); Prof. Dr. Marie Weinhart, Institute of Physical Chemistry (LUH); Prof. Dr. Selin Kara and PD Dr. Antonina Lavrentieva, Institute of Technical Chemistry (LUH); and Prof. Dr. Meike Stiesch and Dr. Katharina Nikutta, Department of Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomedical Materials Science (MHH).
Beyond this research collaboration, the scientists invite women from the life sciences, natural sciences, and medicine to join their newly established network: FemMatrix launches with “Women’s Lunches” – the next meeting will take place on December 17, 2025. Workshops and inspiring talks are set to follow.
