Prof. Dr. Jacob Franke: Metabolites from plants and their impact on human health, agriculture and ecology

To mark the 20th anniversary of our faculty, a series of lectures will be held this summer semester with selected talks from the biology, geology and chemistry sections. As part of this celebratory colloquium, Prof. Dr. Jacob Franke will give a lecture in Englisch, on Thursday 3 July at 17:00 in Oetker lecture hall (Callinstr. 3a, PCI) entitled:

"Metabolites from plants and their impact on human health, agriculture and ecology"

Jacob Franke is Professor of Biochemistry of Plant Specialised Metabolites at the Institute of Botany in our faculty. He works in the field of biosynthesis research in order to provide better access to medically valuable natural substances.
